On Location Training
Contact us for disability training to be brought to your church! We love to spend a full day with your leadership and volunteers to give perspective on disability ministry and theology. In addition, you will receive buddy training, behavior management, classroom management, and teaching tips on a variety of disabilities.
You will be provided with 5.5 hours of training and will receive a training packet, a copy of Grace Without Margins, and lunch. The cost for the day is $50 per person in Austin and $75 per person for out-of-town locations.
Grace Without Margins Training
After the Grace Without Margins training, you will have a better understanding of why people with disabilities are so vital and need to be welcomed, nurtured and assimilated into your church body. Deana will share their personal journey in disability ministry for the last 18 years. She will share scriptural support, spiritual truths, and perspectives of disability ministry. For next steps, getting leadership on board, recruiting and training volunteers, and sharing the gospel are a few of the topics that will be covered. By the end of the training, you will understand what it means to make your ministry so large, you can no longer see it anymore.
B.U.D.D.Y. Training Session I
From Grace Without Margins we have learned why we should offer disability ministry. This training is an overview of how the disability ministry works, in other words, the “nuts and bolts” of ministry. Bill will cover a variety of disabilities and discuss the behavioral, educational, and spiritual expectations and end with vital “teaching tips” for various types of disabilities.
B.U.D.D.Y. Training Session II
During B.U.D.D.Y. Training II, Bill will train with an emphasis on developmental delays and autism. Bill will delve into the neuroanatomy of autism and explain the Biology and Final Common Pathway theories. At the end of this training you will better understand the limbic system and how it plays into the challenges of autism. Bill will conclude the training with behavior modification and calming techniques to give you skills and compassion to minister to children in your ministry.
Ministry Support

Online Training
Disability ministry training is now available online! Feel free to watch it any time of day or night, in the privacy of your own home, or with a group of volunteers!
